Art Submission Rules

General

The following rules apply to ALL folders, unless noted otherwise.
- Any skill level of work is accepted
- Must be your OWN work, collaborations are okay
- Works must be either COMPLETE or looks to have a lot of effort put in. The exception is the Sketches, Lineart, and WIP folder and the advertisement folder.

Failure to follow these rules WILL result in your artwork to be decline, and you have to wait a week due to submission limit to try again.


Folder Specific

Fan Art - Digital, Traditional, and Mixed – Any artwork that is based off a character, story, etc that is not created by you goes here. The following list is what would belong in the fan art folders.
- Not your own original character
- Characters from TV shows, movies, anime, manga, etc.
- Celebrities/characters portraying as a character from TV shows, movies, etc
- Game Development art is fan art, even if you made the game yourself!
- Other people’s original characters (OC’s) IS fan art.
- OC's that are based off a particular universe (Pokemon, Sonic, World of Warcraft, etc.)

The follow is NOT fan art, and should not be sent here:
- Digital modeling
- Your original character (OC)
- Illustrations based just on celebrities
- Photographs of any kind
- Stories and other literature works
- Comic strips of any sort

Digital Art – Original - This folder is for artwork with digital mediums. The requirements follow:
- HANDDRAWN  or vector digital artwork that DOES NOT belong to fan art
- The only exception is fractals, which is also placed here.

Traditional Art – Original - This folder is for artwork with traditional. The requirements follow:
- The work is 2-DIMENSIONAL or 3-DIMENSIONAL Look a-like Art (NOT SCULPTURES)
- Artwork done with traditional media that DOES NOT belong to fan art
- Photographs of traditional artwork is okay, but it is up to the administrator's discretion to move it to Photography

Photography – Artwork with an emphasis of capturing images is placed here. The requirements follow:
- The photo is UNEDITED or has FEW EDITS
- The photo itself is artwork, it's not just a showcase of a sculpture, etc.
- Cosplay pictures don't belong here.

Photomanipulation - Artwork based on heavily modified images are placed here. The requirements follow:
- Photographs that are merged
- Artwork that is heavily modified from the original photograph
- Edits are MAJOR (A simple lens flare is not photomanipulation)

Cosplay - Cosplay specific photographs belong here, They include:
- Pictures of just the costume parts or accessories
- A person dressing up in a cosplay

Original and Fan Comic strips, Comic Covers - Comic artworks that tell a story should be placed here. The requirements follow:
- The artwork is a comic strip format, unless it’s the cover

3D modeling, Rendering - Any piece that is designed using a 3D modeling software should go here. The following are specific requirements
- The model is created by you, OR
- The model is posed using Garry’s Mod, Miku Miku Dance, or other software.

Sculpture/Handcrafts - Traditional 3D art will go here, such as the following;
- Clay/Metal, or other materials.
- Any Textile made objects
- Or anything made from natural or man-made materials.

Literature – All written work of any genre goes here. The following applies here:
- Any written works belong here, fiction or nonfiction.
- Written advertisements DON'T belong here!

Sketches/Lineart/WIP (Work in Progress) – Sketches will be placed into this folder, but they must be created in either;
- Digital Media
- Traditional Media
- Or any other medium’s you can think of!
This contains any piece in any material that is sketched or incomplete. We judge a sketch by the roughness and unfinished look it gives.

Pixel Art, Icon, Emotes – Digital pixel artwork is placed here. The specifications are:
- All Deviant Art icons belong here even if it is animated!
- Custom sprites and edited sprites belong here.

Stamps - Deviant Art stamps have their own folders now. All stamps belong here even if it is animated!

Tutorials/Resources/Stocks/References – This folder is to help out other artists! The following is placed here:
- Art related tutorials of any kinds
- Stock photographs. Please state in the description the photo is a stock.
- Bases, or other pose references

Animated – “Moving pictures" generally go here. The following is required:
- No stamps, nor Deviant Art Icons!
- Artwork is either a flash movie, a .gif file, or anything that moves.

Misc. – Only if your artwork really doesn’t apply to any folders after reading the rules, you can submit here. It is up to the administrator’s discretion for accepting the artwork here. If you’re unsure about your artwork, PLEASE ask before submitting!

Advertisement – All ART related services that you are offering to others can be put in this folder as journal entries. The folder will be heavily monitor for the content set towards these folders. These include, but are not limited to:
- Requests / Commissions
- Contests
- Art Trades
- Adoptable's
- Any other ART related announcements

I did not understand how many tables can I have every week ... sorry but I do not understand English very well ^^'
